Last updated: 25 June 2026

This privacy policy explains how Mental Health Warriors collects, uses and protects the personal data of people who visit this website and get in touch with us. We have written it in plain English. If anything is unclear, contact us at enquiries@mhw.scot.

What data we collect

When you submit our contact form, we collect the information you provide: your name, email address and the content of your message. We do not collect any other personal data, and we do not use analytics or tracking on this website.

Why we collect it

We use the information you provide to respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, to follow up about the support or activities you have asked about. Our lawful basis for processing is legitimate interest: responding to an enquiry you have started.

Children's privacy

Because we work with young people, we take particular care with their information and only use it to respond to the enquiry. If you are under 16, please check with a parent or guardian before sending us personal details.

Who we share it with

Contact form submissions are processed by Formspree, which receives and stores the message on our behalf so we can read and reply to it. Formspree may process data outside the UK under appropriate safeguards. Their privacy policy is available at https://formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy/.

We do not share your data with any other third parties, and we never sell it.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept for up to 12 months after our last contact with you, unless an ongoing relationship means we need to keep them longer. After that they are deleted.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate data
  • Ask us to delete your data
  • Ask us to restrict how we use your data
  • Ask for a copy of your data in a portable format
  • Object to how we are using your data

To exercise any of these rights, email enquiries@mhw.scot. We will respond within one month.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
